We support all major martial arts disciplines including Boxing, Krav Maga, Kung Fu, Aikido, Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Karate, Wrestling, Muay Thai, and Kickboxing. You can also add custom disciplines specific to your club. ### How do payments work? You have two options: use Stripe for automated online payments (Cards, Apple/Google Pay) with transparent fees (Stripe 2.9% + 0.5% app fee), or record payments manually using your current payment method with no transaction fees at all. Members always know when their next payment is due. ### Can I track attendance and belts/ranks? Yes. Students can check in via the mobile app, and you see attendance instantly. The system automatically tracks time-in-grade and attendance requirements for belt promotions. ### Do you handle class scheduling and capacity? Yes. Create recurring classes with capacity limits and eligibility rules. Rosters update in real time. ### Is there a student/parent mobile app? Yes. Students (and parents) can book classes, see belt progress, pay invoices, and get push reminders. Family accounts let one parent manage multiple children. ### Is my data protected? Yes. Your club and student data is hosted in EU data centers with encryption in transit and at rest. We are fully GDPR compliant. ### Can you migrate my data from my current system? Yes — and it's fully handled by our team. We import members, memberships, attendance, and rank history from CSV or exports. We provide templates and walk you through the entire process so you can switch over with zero downtime. ### What if I need a custom feature or belt system? No problem. Our team can adjust the app to your needs — whether it's a custom belt system for your discipline, specific grading rules, or additional features. Just reach out and we'll make it work for your club. ### How long does it take to set up MatSync? Most academies are up and running in under 15 minutes. You configure your disciplines, create your subscription plans, set up your class schedule, and start enrolling students right away. If you're migrating from another system, our team handles the data transfer so you don't lose a single day. ### What languages does MatSync support? The web platform is available in six languages: English, French, German, Dutch, Portuguese (Brazil), and Spanish. The mobile app currently supports two languages, with more being added regularly. The interface adapts automatically based on the user's device settings. ### What happens if a student's payment fails? The system automatically retries failed Stripe payments and notifies the student. You can see all failed payments in your dashboard with their status. If a card payment doesn't go through, you can also record payments manually for cash, bank transfer, or any custom payment method. Members always know when their next payment is due. ### Can I offer family or sibling discounts? Yes. Family accounts let one parent manage multiple children under a single account. Parents see each child's individual attendance, belt progress, and class schedule from one place. Family discount pricing is on our roadmap. ### Can I restrict classes by belt level or age group? Yes. When creating a class, you can set eligibility rules based on age group (kids or adults) and skill level (beginner, intermediate, advanced). You can also set capacity limits per class so rooms never get overcrowded. Rosters update in real time. ### Can I manage kids and adult programs separately? Yes. MatSync separates kids and adult age groups across the entire system — from subscription plans and class scheduling to attendance tracking and belt progression. Each group has its own pricing, classes, and rank requirements. ### Does the system track when students are eligible for promotion? Yes. MatSync tracks time-in-grade and class attendance for each student. You can view their full promotion history, add notes from evaluations, and manage the entire grading process from the member's progress tab. ### Can I export my data if I decide to leave? Yes. You can download your financial reports and member data at any time. There are no lock-in contracts — MatSync runs month-to-month, and you can cancel whenever you want. ### Can you build a website for my academy? Yes.
