Family discounts without the spreadsheet
Siblings, parents who train with their kids and brand-new members often get a better price. Tracking that by hand means remembering who is related, adjusting every invoice and hoping nobody gets the wrong amount.
In MatSync you set the rules once in the Discounts workspace. The server applies them when a member pays, so members get the price they are entitled to and never one they are not.
Discount groups
- Family: profiles that share one account get a tiered reduction. The built-in tiers are full price for the first member, 10% off for the second and 15% off from the third, and you can change them.
- New member: a welcome discount for members who joined in the last 30 days and have no previous plan or paid purchase.
- Custom groups: choose specific members, such as a competition team or staff.
Families are found for you
MatSync lists linked profiles together, so you can see each family, how many members it has and who has an active plan. Searching for any relative keeps the whole family together, and you can remove a member from a group when needed.
How discounted pricing works
- The largest eligible saving applies. Discounts are not stacked.
- Family tiers count family members with an active membership today, however they paid.
- Discounts apply to membership plans paid through Stripe in USD, EUR, GBP, CHF and RON, and to one-time CHF membership invoices through Bexio.
- Class packs keep their normal price.
- Existing payments and invoices never change.
How to set it up
- Open Discounts in the dashboard.
- Set the family tiers and the welcome discount, or create a custom group.
- Keep the rules active. Matching members get the discounted price automatically when they pay.
Questions
How do I set up a sibling discount?
Use the family group. Profiles that share an account are treated as one family, and the second and third members get the percentages you set.
Are discounts applied at renewal?
Family and custom discounts are checked again when a recurring membership renews. The welcome discount is not repeated.
Can a member get two discounts at once?
No. MatSync applies the single largest discount the member is eligible for.
