Compare
The best judo club software is built around kyu and dan grades, junior belts and gradings, and is priced so a 40-member club does not pay like a 400-member gym. It should let members and parents book and check in from their phones, count every class towards the next grade, and take card payments without locking you into its own processor.

Before you switch
Questions club secretaries and head coaches ask us before they switch. Every answer below is something MatSync does today.
Start for Free
Set up your grades from white belt to dan, with the minimum classes and months for each. MatSync counts every class, shows who is ready for their next grade, and keeps every grading on the member’s record.
Juniors get their own track, with half belts such as white-yellow or yellow-orange and their own minimums. Their history stays on the record when they move up to the senior grades.
Record the new grade with the grading date and MatSync adds it from that day, with your note. The progress list shows who is ready, who is almost there and who has not trained since their last grade.
Each class has its own coach, age range, level and capacity, and sits on the same weekly timetable. Members and parents see every class they can book in the app.
A membership can allow a set number of group classes per Monday-to-Sunday week, from 1 to 14. Once a member reaches the limit, further bookings that week need a class card.
Mark members as competitors with the name and date of their next tournament, give the squad its own membership and class, and see the competitor marker on every roster.
Owners and admins record medical notes on a member’s profile. Coaches see a medical flag on the class roster and can open the details, while the notes stay out of member lists.
A tablet at the front desk runs the MatSync check-in kiosk: members scan their code as they arrive and the check-in lands in the class attendance. The coach can also take roll on the roster.
With a family account, one parent login covers several children. Parents book classes, follow each child’s grades and pay, and family discounts apply automatically to eligible memberships.
Members buy their membership in the app. Online payments go through Stripe at Stripe’s standard fees plus a 0.5% MatSync app fee. Cash and bank transfers you record by hand have no transaction fee.
Send us your spreadsheet or an export from your current software and we import your members, their plans and their grading history, so you start with the club you already have.
MatSync is free for up to 30 members, with every feature included, the member app and no credit card required. When the club grows past 30 members, the Grow plan is $39 per month, or $35 per month billed yearly.

For judo clubs
A judo club is not a gym with a class timetable. These are the jobs club secretaries and coaches ask us about most, and how MatSync handles each one.
Minimum classes and months at each grade, counted from real attendance. Put the next grading on the calendar and see who is ready, who is close and who needs another term.
Judo belt time calculatorFour-to-six-year-olds get mini judo and a two-a-week plan, older juniors their half belts. One parent login books and pays for every child.
An injured shoulder or an inhaler in the bag shows as a flag on the roster for that class, so the coach knows before randori, not after.
Competitor markers with the next tournament and date, a squad membership and its own randori session, apart from the all-grades class.
Give adult beginners their own class and a two-a-week plan with a weekly class limit. When they are ready for more, they move to the senior membership.
Send us a spreadsheet or an export and we import members, plans and grades with their dates. Comparing costs first? Use the gym software cost calculator.
